The OnePlus Nord 4 will be launched in India on July 16 at the OnePlus Summer Launch event. Ahead of the event, the Chinese tech giant announced that the OnePlus Nord 4 will get software updates for up to 6 years. This is the longest software commitment from OnePlus, even its current flagship, the OnePlus 12, doesn’t offer software support for this long. The OnePlus Nord 4 will get Android OS upgrades for 4 years and security patches for 6 years. For comparison, the Nord 3 was promised OS updates for 3 years and security updates for 4 years. Even the OnePlus 12 only gets 4 years of OS and security updates for 5 years.
OnePlus Nord 4 will get 4 Android OS updates and 6 years of security and software updates, which means the device will be supported up till Android 18 if we talk of OS updates and up till 2030 if we consider security patches.
The company said that this new software support will ensure that the OnePlus Nord 4, the newest member of the OnePlus family, will remain safe to use for a long time in the future.
Additionally, the phone will come with OnePlus Battery Health Engine technology to ensure it stays charged effectively for years, it is certified for 1,600 full charging cycles.

Like other OnePlus phones, the Nord 4 will be sold on Amazon, and other products such as the OnePlus Pad 2, OnePlus Nord Buds 3 Pro, and OnePlus Watch 2R will also be available through other online channels.
