ColorOS 14 App-Specific Screen Refresh Rate
A custom refresh rate for a specific app is now possible for Oppo phones running ColorOS 14. This new feature allows you to adjust the refresh rate of your favorite apps for a better user experience without affecting the refresh rate of the device.
Notably, if a third-party app has its own refresh rate and the refresh rate is higher than the one provided by the system, the latter takes effect. Also, users can use up to 120Hz refresh rate for optimal visual effects and smooth experience. However, this may increase battery usage and cause the device to heat up.
The app-specific screen refresh rate can be changed from 60Hz to 120Hz, allowing you to enjoy content more dynamically and clearly. On the other hand, if you feel that the battery is draining faster due to the high refresh rate, you can reduce it to 60Hz for efficient power control,Follow the following guidelines to learn how to do it.
How to apply App-Specific Screen Refresh Rate
- Launch the Settings app
- Scroll down and select Display & brightness
- Here Tap on Screen Refresh Rate
- You will see an App-specific refresh rate
- Select an app and choose your preferred refresh rate.

- 120Hz (Default)
