The upcoming OxygenOS 15 Video Battery saver feature of reducing battery consumption has been spotted in the second Android 15 beta for the OnePlus 12. This feature is present alongside other power-saving settings found in the device. In its description, it is clearly stated that it optimizes battery usage automatically whenever any video app is draining the battery too much.

However the description does not point out the underlying battery optimizations, it states that this feature may affect the video-watching experience badly. Further information indicates that it could impact the audio, video quality, and haptics. Since the feature is not functional right now, it cannot be said that the battery gains are going to be worth it.

A charging limit feature is also mentioned in the upcoming Android 15 beta update from OnePlus along with battery optimizations. This feature will restrict the battery to 80% if it has been charging for a bit too long in order to slow down the aging of the battery.
