Samsung Bixby will receive an AI upgrade this year

This year for Samsung is all about AI features. All these features are furnished by Large Language Models (LLMS) and generative edit models. Now, it’s the turn of Samsung Bixby to transform with AI. A Bixby is Samsung’s virtual assistant which was introduced in 2017.

LLMs and Generative AI models are trained on extensive amounts of data. LLMs (Large Language Models easily are designed to understand natural human language and generate responsiveness, so that they can be better at understanding user requirements. Generative AI is generally used to convert text into images and videos. 

Now, that the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Galaxy Z Fold 6 have been launched Samsung is working towards Bixby upgradation. During the conversation between Samsung MX CEO TM Roh and CNBC, TM Roh officially announced the release of an AI upgrade for Bixby. The upgrade will be featured by Samsung’s LLM. The exact statement of TM Roh was, “We’re going to advance Bixby with the application of Gen AI technology.”

As reported, CNBC has confirmed that Samsung is working on an upgraded version of Bixby. Samsung has also announced the expected release time frame which will be by the end of this year.
