Samsung Galaxy S21 FE Snapdragon Variant gets April update [Exynos too]

Samsung has released the April 2024 security update for the Exynos Galaxy S21 FE models in India. Users can identify the update through One UI build version G990EXXS8FXD1 and installation package of 248.39MB. This software is based on One UI 6.0 and the company will soon release One UI 6.1 update for this smartphone.

In July 2023, Samsung launched the Snapdragon 888 version of the Galaxy S21 FE in India. Samsung has released a new software update for the Snapdragon 888 variant of the Galaxy S21 FE, which brings the April 2024 security patch that fixes over 40 security issues.

As mentioned above, the update is available for Snapdragon variants and the company will soon extend it to Exynos models. However, the April 2024 security update is already available for S21 FE users in the US.

This update for the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE smartphone comes with an installation package size of 318.94MB. To install the update, users should go to the Software Update section and select the device’s Settings. If the update is available then select ‘Download and Install’ from there to start the update process.

The April 2024 update protects against security threats posed by new software updates. It even brings several bug fixes to provide a more reliable and efficient user experience. This update based on Android 14-based One UI 6.0.

While we’re on the topic of software updates, it’s worth mentioning that Samsung is expected to release One UI 6.1 for eligible devices early next month. The Galaxy S21 FE is eligible to get the major update.
