Galaxy Note 20 FE monthly update

Yesterday, Samsung reduced the security update schedule for the Galaxy S20 series (including Galaxy S20 FE) and Galaxy Note 20 lineup from monthly to quarterly, as revealed by the company’s April 2024 security patch bulletin. Meanwhile, Samsung has once again revised its device list for this month’s patch.

Good news for those who own a Galaxy Note 20, Galaxy Note 20 Ultra, or Galaxy S20 FE devices, which were recently announced to be moving from a monthly plan to a quarterly plan, now bringing them back to a monthly update schedule has gone.

It is worth noting that only Samsung Galaxy Note 20, Galaxy Note 20 5G, Galaxy Note 20 Ultra, Galaxy Note 20 Ultra 5G, Galaxy S20 FE, and Galaxy S20 FE 5G will now continue to receive monthly updates as before. These devices will continue to receive monthly security patches for an additional six months before switching to quarterly updates.

This could be due to miscommunication as the Korean tech giant has once again revised its plans to list the Note 20 series and S20 FE smartphones. However, the Samsung Galaxy S20 series including the Samsung Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20 5G, Galaxy S20+, Galaxy S20+ 5G, Galaxy S20 Ultra, and Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G are still on the quarterly plan and will receive updates every three months.
