Samsung Object Eraser editor gets Magnetic Lasso feature

Samsung Photo Editor app is getting a new update and it brings a very useful feature to Object Eraser, called Magnetic Lasso. This new Magnetic Lasso feature in the Object Eraser for Galaxy devices pushes the version to v3.4.21.41. This fresh update significantly improves the app’s performance to provide a smoother and more efficient editing experience.

For your information, Samsung has brought some advanced editing features to its photo editor with the AI-powered One UI 6.1 for Galaxy devices. One of them was called Generative Edit where the app changed an object within the circle drawn by the user, and now this feature has become even better.

The latest version of Samsung Photo Editor also features a magnetic lasso, which allows the drawn line to snap to objects.

Magnetic Lasso can be used when opening a photo in the Samsung Gallery app. Then you should click on Edit and select Object Eraser under Tools, and the Magnetic Lasso option should be in the top-right corner. The company says, with Magnetic Lasso “Selection lines will stay where you draw them” and without it, “Selection lines will snap onto subjects.”

On the other hand, OnePlus introduced its new AI Eraser image editing feature for OnePlus smartphones. The feature, powered by the OnePlus’ Large Language Model (LLM), provides users with AI-powered tools that can help them remove unwanted objects from images, similar to Google Magic Eraser.
