Samsung has started rolling out the July 2024 security update for Galaxy devices on time. Initially, it distributed the update for Galaxy A55 devices in India. It gradually expanded the update to more devices; however, the update does not bring any new features to the device, but it brings some security improvements.

As per the official documents, with the July 2024 security patch, over 55 security vulnerability issues have been addressed, and among them, there are 25 fixes introduced by Google that address issues found in the Android OS. Along with that, there are 33 fixes introduced by Samsung that specifically enhance the Galaxy device.
Further, this update offers some new improvements that will enhance the overall performance and stability of the device, which means if you are using any Galaxy device that is facing any software-related issues, you should update your device to the July 2024 security patch. However, the patch is not currently available for all devices, so if you want to know if your device has been updated or not, you can check the list below.
These patches mainly affect components such as One UI Home, System Properties, System UI, Filter Provider, Secure Folder, Configuration Messages, IMS Service, Knox, MTP App, and others.
