Notably, with this update, the Galaxy A55 has become the first Samsung smartphone to receive the July 2024 security patch. The smartphone is getting the July 2024 security update in India and the company will soon make it available in more countries.
Samsung has rolled out the Android July 2024 security patch update for the Galaxy A55 5G in India with firmware version number A556EXXS4AXF6. The update is coming with a modest software package of 225.97 MB, which indicates that the latest update will not bring any major changes to the device.
As the name suggests, the July 2024 security patch provides some security features that will bring some changes to the internal workings of the devices, which will boost their security.
The July 2024 update brings about 60 fixes, 25 of which are added by Google, that will provide enhancements for Android devices. Meanwhile, Samsung has also introduced 33 more patches specifically for Samsung devices. Along with security fixes, the company sometimes brings further improvements to the system.
