Samsung Wallet support

Samsung Wallet is more secure and has more complex and sophisticated security layers that give you more peace of mind when operating the app. Now, the Korean tech has announced that it is ending support for Samsung Wallet for these Galaxy devices.

According to the information, the Samsung Wallet app will no longer get updates for devices running Android 9.0 Pie or older versions, this change will be effective from March 15, 2024.

This means that Galaxy users who have Samsung Wallet installed on a device running Android 9.0 and older can continue to use the app for now, but they won’t be able to access the latest features and enhancements as further updates are not available.

Additionally, the company advises users to upgrade their Galaxy devices to Android 10 or above if they want to use the latest features of Samsung Wallet. However, this option is not available for the Galaxy S10 series phones and older models, which do not support Android 10 compatibility.

If your Galaxy device is eligible for Android 10 or later, install available software and app updates to enjoy new features and enhancements. To check for new software updates, you just need to go to Settings, tap on Software Update, and click on the Download and Install option

However, Samsung announced the removal of Paytm Wallet support from Samsung Wallet due to Reserve Bank of India (RBI) restrictions. Additionally, the brand also advised its users to use or withdraw their Paytm Bank balance before February 29, 2024.
