The messaging giant WhatsApp is now adding a video note feature very soon. However the news hasn’t been confirmed by WhatsApp itself, WABetainfo has shared the information about the company working on the feature. The beta testing suggests exciting possibilities about how we can communicate on the app.

WABetainfo quotes “In the article about the WhatsApp beta for Android 2.24.14.14 update, we announced that WhatsApp was rolling out a feature to bring a video note mode to the camera. This feature was designed to enhance the process of recording and sharing video notes by allowing users to capture video messages directly within the camera interface.”
What are exactly WhatsApp video note?
They are nothing but voice notes with added flavor of video.Just like Instagram and Facebook the feature will allow you to record short video clips into the WhatsApp chats directly. This feature paves way to more interesting and engaging way to update your loved ones.

How it works?
According to beta testing here are the possibilities.
- Recording: There will be a dedicated button for accessing video note in the chat window just like microphone icon for sending voice messages. To use the feature you just have to hold the icon and there will be option to switch to front and back camera.
- Hands Free: To capture video for long time there will be an option to ‘lock’ which will allow to your hands to be free- perfect for capturing live moments and easy sharing of tuitorial.
- Viewing: It could be played automatically just by opening the chats similar to disappearing photos and videos. There will also be an option to mute the video initially.
