YouTube Music is one of the most popular music streaming services and offers a seamless way to enjoy your favorite tunes across different devices. The company is testing a redesign of YouTube Music’s Cast UI for Android that uses a bottom sheet.
According to the information, similar to the iOS version of YouTube Music, the company is testing a redesign of the Cast UI on Android that uses the bottom sheet. The new YouTube Music Cast UI is more simple, compact, and elegant, and it looks very similar to the video player settings of the main YouTube app.
Instead of a “Cast to a device” box, the new Cast UI shows a list of “Suggested” and “Other devices” you can cast to, and it also has rounded corners for a smoother look. You get a minimalist “Playing On” sheet that shows only the volume slider while casting.
This cast sheet redesign is still in testing in YouTube Music for Android and hasn’t launched widely yet, and the overflow menu improvements haven’t fully launched either.
